Apache can be configured using .conf configuration files. This is a plain text file format.


Configuration files contain one directive per line. Any blank lines or whitespace before the directive itself are ignored.

LogLevel warn

A backslash can be added to the very end of the line to indicate that the directive continues on to the next line.

Lines that begin with '#' are considered as comments. Comment lines cannot come immediately after a directive.
